International Soccer Tour – Spain 2026

March 30 – April 6, 2026

In the spring of 2026, I will have the opportunity to travel to Spain as part of a select international squad competing against top-level global competition. This week-long tour will combine elite training, international matches, professional soccer experiences, and cultural exploration throughout Spain. The trip represents a unique opportunity to challenge myself against international players while continuing to grow both on and off the field.

The tour will begin with our arrival in Barcelona, one of the most historic soccer cities in the world. After landing, the team will travel to our hotel in the coastal city of Castelldefels, located just outside Barcelona. This will be our first opportunity to come together as a team, settle into the environment, and begin preparing for the week ahead.

After arriving at the hotel, we will have time to check in and recover from travel before beginning our first team activities. Later that afternoon, we will depart for our first training session at the Can Vinader Municipal Sports Complex. This opening practice will allow us to get acclimated to the environment, meet our teammates, and begin working on team chemistry ahead of the upcoming international matches.

Following the training session, we will return to the hotel for dinner and hold our first official team meeting. During this meeting, the coaching staff will outline the expectations for the tour, discuss the tactical approach for the week, and begin preparing us for the level of competition we will face during our matches.

The following morning will begin with breakfast and team media activities, including photos and interviews documenting the experience of competing internationally. These media sessions are part of the international showcase environment and help highlight the players participating in the tour.

Later that morning, the team will travel into the city center of Barcelona for a period of free time. This will provide the opportunity to explore one of the most iconic cities in Europe, experience the culture of Spanish soccer, and spend time seeing the historic streets and waterfront areas that make Barcelona one of the most famous sporting cities in the world.

After our time in Barcelona, the team will travel south along the Mediterranean coast toward the region of Castellón, where we will stay in the seaside city of Peñíscola. This location will serve as our primary base for training and competition during the remainder of the trip.

Our training sessions throughout the week will take place at the Eture Sports training complex located in Sant Jordi. These sessions will include both on-field training and video analysis. The goal of these sessions is to help the team develop tactical organization, improve communication, and prepare for the international opponents we will face.

Training will focus on multiple aspects of the game, including defensive structure, transition play, positional awareness, and decision making under pressure. Video sessions will also allow the coaching staff to break down our performances and provide feedback that will help us adjust and improve before our matches.

The first international match of the tour will take place at the Eture training grounds against the Portugal U20 national team. Facing a national-level squad represents a major challenge and an incredible opportunity to test our abilities against players competing at the highest youth levels.

The Portugal U20 team is known for its technical ability, speed of play, and tactical discipline. Competing against a team with that level of development will push us to perform at our best. Matches like this are valuable experiences because they expose players to the intensity and pace of international competition.

Preparing for this match will involve multiple training sessions and tactical discussions with our coaches. Every player on the team will need to focus on communication, positioning, and maintaining composure under pressure. Playing against an international squad demands high concentration and teamwork.

Following the first match, the team will continue training and preparing for the second international game of the tour. These training sessions will allow us to make adjustments based on our performance and further develop our understanding of each other’s playing styles.

One of the unique experiences during the tour will be visiting the home stadium of Villarreal CF. The stadium, known as Estadio de la Cerámica, is one of the most respected professional soccer venues in Spain.

During the stadium visit, we will tour the locker rooms, walk through the tunnel used by professional players, and see the field from the perspective of athletes competing at the highest level of Spanish soccer. Experiences like this provide insight into the professional environment and help young players understand what it takes to compete at the highest level of the sport.

Later in the week, the team will play its second and final international match against the Morocco U20 national team. This match will serve as the final competitive challenge of the tour and an opportunity to apply everything we have worked on during the week.

The Morocco U20 team is known for its athleticism, creativity, and attacking style of play. Competing against another international opponent will require discipline, focus, and teamwork. The match will be an important test of how well our team has developed throughout the week of training and competition.

Beyond the training sessions and matches, the tour will also include cultural experiences that make international travel unique. One of these experiences will be visiting the historic Peñíscola Castle, a medieval fortress overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The castle is one of the most famous landmarks in the region and provides a glimpse into the history and architecture of Spain.

Another highlight of the trip will be a beach training session along the Mediterranean coast. Training on the beach is both physically demanding and fun, offering a different type of conditioning while also allowing the team to enjoy the coastal environment.

Toward the end of the tour, the team will travel to Valencia to attend a professional match in Spain’s top division, La Liga. The match will feature Valencia CF competing against RC Celta de Vigo at Mestalla Stadium.

Watching a live La Liga match is an incredible experience for any soccer player. The speed of play, tactical organization, and atmosphere of the stadium provide valuable insight into the professional game. Being able to watch high-level players compete in person helps young athletes better understand the level required to succeed in professional soccer.

After the match in Valencia, the team will return to Castelldefels near Barcelona for our final night in Spain. This will give players time to reflect on the experience, spend time with teammates, and prepare for the journey home.

The next morning, the team will depart early for Barcelona Airport and begin traveling back home after an unforgettable week of international soccer.

This tour represents far more than just a series of games. It is an opportunity to grow as a player, experience soccer in another country, and compete against athletes from different parts of the world. International experiences like this help players develop confidence, adaptability, and a deeper understanding of the global game.

Competing internationally requires discipline, focus, and teamwork. Every training session, meeting, and match during the week will contribute to improving as both an individual player and a teammate.

The opportunity to represent my team internationally and compete against top-level opponents is something I take great pride in. Experiences like this help shape the path of a player’s development and provide valuable lessons that extend far beyond the field.

As I continue pursuing my goals in soccer, this international tour in Spain will be an important milestone in my journey as a player.
